I'm Carson, the Maverick's resident conspiracy theorist and literary geek. Country music has been a part of who I am for my entire life- in fact my earliest memory is riding in my mom's car and Charlie Daniels' The Devil Went Down To Georgia came on the radio. It wasn't much later I got in trouble in the first grade for singing it in class. You can hang out with me on the radio during the morning show where I'm usually letting loose my latest conspiracy, in the afternoons from 2 to 7, and on Saturday nights at 9:00 in the Thunderbird Tavern where I get to showcase the new outlaws and independent artists in Country music.

Join Carson, along with Leanne and Tom, in the mornings from 6 to 9 and weekdays 2pm-6pm for Afternoons With Carson, and Saturdays 9pm-12am with Thunderbird Tavern.

The Maverick is very blessed to not only have Leanne Petty as part of the Maverick Morning Show with Tom and Carson, but she'll hang around from 10 to 2pm here on the Maverick.  Part of Leanne's job is keeping Carson and Tom straight but she's also just one of the guys.

When Fox 8's Tom Britt arrived at the Maverick we knew we had been blessed with one of the top news men in the state, but we didn't realize we had also found a great morning show talent too!  Tom is not just our meteorologist, he's also Weatherman!  Tom is an integral part of the Maverick Morning Show team with Carson and Leanne.  When he's not on the radio, or updating us on the weather at Fox 8, Tom Britt can be found on one of Alamance County's many golf courses beating Earl Henderson.  

The biggest, well... tallest fan of classic country music. I have been referred to as the Buford Pusser of country music (reference to the movie "Walking Tall") When I'm not at Maverick I am a Real Estate agent for Keller Williams Realty. Knowledge of most genres of music, mostly classic country. You definitely want me on your team in a game of music trivia. First concert ever attended was seeing Wayne Newton in Raleigh in 1985. Married to my wife, Bethany, and has a son, Austin. Born and raised in Fayetteville/Fort Bragg.

Hi, I’m Christi! I’m an Alamance County native and love this place I call home. I have been a part of the Maverick and Hope family since the early days and many of you may know me as Carson’s better half. It is my privilege to be part of the marketing team. I love to connect people and create great relationships between local businesses and Alamance County’s kinfolk. A teacher by trade, I am passionate about young people and helping them become the best versions of themselves. I have spent over 15 years serving students in some form or fashion. In my spare time, you can find me hanging out with family and friends often at a cookout, concert, or church. I’m a lover of good music, good food, Dt. Coke, and having a good time!
